The rice is still fluffy with the right tenderness. Coffee and tea are free, so help yourself. Service is very good and fast for someone working alone. Now abhor a 5-star rating!
Found this place near where I stayed and decided to try. It rained quite strongly and the whole building lost power. Still went to the 2nd floor where it was and a few minutes later, the building restored power. The owner saw me and invited me happy. He was aware that I am a tourist and made an English menu available with any explanation of the elections. There is a self-service drink area (hot/cold coffee, water and Oolong tea). The pork fillet Curryreis ordered and can say the taste is very delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing and the food is delicious. Would come back here in the future when I visit Kyoto again.
We stared and stumbled over this hidden restaurant on the second floor by chance. The owner was very friendly, even some English to us. The food was delicious and the homemade pudding was amazing! In the end, the owner is even walking to an elevator!
Great and welcoming place for delicious curry and Belgian beers! The friendly owner speaks English and is great company. It's on the second floor, just look for the sign on the street with the green monster (Kappa) enjoying a beer and a curry.
Simple, retro interior. Friendly owner. Very reasonable appetizers. Specialty is curry… and beers from Belgium.
