Pizzeria Lugara - Kyoto

Great little place where we went up at the end of the very busy day of sightseeing. Don't think we had to come all the way to Kyoto for such delicious pizza. My family and had the Margarita and Diavola pizzas along with some fries and a salad. The music, the place, the owner and especially the food was perfect!

This pizza place is hidden north of the busiest street in Arashiyama. I went alone at 13:30 on a Saturday and had to wait about 30 minutes because they had only about 8 tables. They had several vegetarian options! I was so happy to see something different than a particular one, so I ordered the ZEIT (vegetarian), and although it was busy my order came in less than 10 minutes. It was a great combination of flavors. A shady size, too. I was on my way and didn't want to carry any leftovers, so I could eat it myself. I'll be back to Arashiyama.

Absolutely worth to go all the way to Arashiyama or stop after busy sightseeing day to enjoy pizza in this cozy shop. We had pizza, lasagna and tiramisu. Food is delicious, music and all the atmosphere is great. We will come back again soon.

Very authentic Italian pizza, great Italian beer and desserts, a great experience for sure! Prizes are also very reasonable!

Fantastic location, excellent pizza, terrific customer service. We had a great time and the restaurant is family friendly! Highly recommend!
