Taigu - Kyoto

Great traveler pub. Good mix of locals and foreigners. Location is directly on the subway. Very good selection of local craft beer. I spent both nights in Kyoto. The food didn't try, but the beer was great. Payable (1200 yen for a full pint) but a firm place to get a local beer without worries.

Try some of the local Kyoto Brewing craft beer. Their house yeast is of Belgian origin and their Saison style beers are excellent. Ask the staff if they have Saison or something similar on tap.

Pretty friendly little pub with good beers. The owner is a great guy and we had a good chat to him. You can sit up at the bar or at the tables and just enjoy a relaxing afternoon. No pretention.

Service was slow on a Sunday at 5pm. It took over 10 minutes for me to get my bill after asking for it. The beer prices are pretty high too at 1200 for a 470ml domestic craft beer. Won't be back.

Good choice of craft beer. Extremely overpriced for what you get. Walked down the street to a similar spot that was half the price and just as (if not more) delicious.
