Restaurant de la Poste L'envolée

We stopped here for lunch by chance two years ago. Lunch was memorable then so we booked in for the night to try dinner. It was superb. The service is top notch and the food is truly excellent. I suspect that we will return.

Lovely restaurant, lovely staff, lovely food and drink. That probably says it all, but it really was one of those meals to remember. Say how you would like your steak, and it is exactly what you would hope for. A good choice of menu and you might have difficulty deciding what to try, but from all the meals I noticed, everyone looked good. Worth leaving the autoroute to give yourself a treat.

The hotel is clean and welcoming. The room was rather small and we are used to a bigger bed. The dining room is huge so they must have a large clientel. The food was above average and interesting. The breakfast was very much a help yourself..not a soul in sight.

We visited this restaurant twice this month. On the first occasion my wife was feeling unwell and did not want a meal but would have had soup if there had been some on the menu. On explaining this the waitress asked us to wait a second and went off. On return she said that the Chef would make her a soup if we could wait 10 minutes. The restaurant was full of people but nothing was too much trouble. On our second visit we were able to take rather more interest in the food. Food very good, nice wine, impeccable service and attitude. We shall return!

We stopped for dinner at La Calavarie, just before Millau. TA had recommended the Poste. When we arrived we were told that we would have to wait 20 mins for a table. Then a waitress sat us in the bar area. After 20 mins we were given a menu, then at 30 mins we decided this was enough and left. Admittedly a 60 seat coach had just arrived, but they should have told us they could not serve us. More wasted time.
