China One - Lake Charles

I'm not sure about some of the other reviews; they might be from competing Chinese restaurants. We absolutely love China One and order from there once a week. We usually get a lot, including three Happy Family dishes, two Hawaii Five, two orders of dumplings, and two orders of wings. Our food is ready in just fifteen to twenty minutes. It's our favorite Chinese restaurant, and that's saying something because my girlfriend used to own a Chinese restaurant herself.

We decided to go to China One because we didn't want to wait two hours at Golden Nugget! We were pleasantly surprised; everything was very good, especially my dish! I’ll definitely be back soon!

Love China One, the food is excellent, the best Chinese food in Lake Charles.... they give you great portions and if you are before 3:00 the combo plate is only 3.75 it is wonderful. Fried rice is excellent, Egg Roll comes with the duck it is wonderful I get the chicken vegetables with Brown Sauce. It is always freshly cooked... clean, service super. Nice people... was almost two times. Month for a year or when it is open... They won't be disappointed.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I'll definitely be returning! The place is a bit small, but they prepare everything quickly, and the food is always hot and fresh. You can get a take-out menu, mark what you'd like, and they'll prepare it just right. The portion sizes are labeled as Qt (quart) or Pt (pint), and if you decide to order a Qt, be prepared for a generous serving! In the photos, you can see the chicken and broccoli alongside a Qt of General Tso's chicken.

I come here about every week, the food is fantastic and the owners are the sweetest. While I order the same thing every time and love it, everyone I bring here orders sometimes different and loves it too. Always hot and fresh when you get your order and doesn’t take long at all. 100% recommend as the best take out Chinese place in town. Super high quality
