Clydedale Inn - Lanark

Went for family get together to Lanark to see the Christmas market and light switch on. Six adult women all who have medical conditions (some severe although not visible) As soon as we walked in the door the female manager for some reason took an instant dislike to us. All we wanted was a rest and something to eat to take medication. She told us the food was stopped. I asked for how long and she said she didn’t know. I said we’d wait By this time a queue in the middle of the floor was beginning behind us. I asked the girl behind the bar to help us and she said ‘are you the one that was turned away’ I was not aware that I had been ‘turned away’ I wear a hearing aid although again you wouldn’t know. If that manager at any time had said to our party there were more tables in a hidden annexe this would never have happened. We were mortified. We thought we were waiting to be seated. I have given the place two stars because when it did get served to us it was delicious. We ended up having a lovely afternoon there looked after by all the lovely waiting staff.

Our meals were lovely (both burgers). Staff really friendly and working very hard.

New owners, went in to try, really lovely food homemade and well presented. Hot to... Recommend the basket of beef for starters absolut beautiful. Decor been changed to.

Very noisy. Groups of drunken men shouting in each others' faces. Distancing? No way . Loads of very young legal? people all over the place. Singer and karaoke in the used to be pleasant dining room. Used to like it as a civilised quiet place to have a chat. Used to be very tightly run bar. Now Wild West Saloon. Won't be back. Not for us any more. Really no stars but food and service ok so one

Food was lovely and really well presented, excellent portions as well. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and interior is fresh and cosy.
