No. 433 Depot - Lansing

Went for lunch today and found it to be worthy, we will go back. Now this is a country place but nice and clean, with excellent service with a smile. The wife had a chicken and pineapple with bacon sandwich with fries. She really liked it and she had way more fries than she could eat. I had grilled chicken with cheese, peppers, onions, and mushrooms, and these were on the side so if you weren't a fan they are easily separated. For sides I had pinto beans and fried squash. I found the fried squash to be outstanding since I never had a breaded squash slice like that before. I would definitely recommend you try what I had! So that's my two cents, I think it is worth stopping in if you are in the neighborhood.

When in Ashe County, head on down to the quaint little town of Lansing. There you'll find the No. 433 Depot. Miss Jennifer has been in the restaurant business for many a year. If you want some good ole', down home, country cookin', stop on by! You won't have to give your granny's gold teeth to pay for the meal either. You can enjoy great mountain food for a very reasonable price! Pull up a chair and sit awhile in the adorable dining area. It'll feel just like home! Miss Jennifer and the staff will make you feel like part of the family. So, slow down a little and take in our hometown, and stop on by the No. 433 Depot. You'll be glad you did!

We tried this place and loved it! I recommend the John Henry burger and the buffalo chips. It is nice to have more dining options in Lansing!

Awesome service, awesome food! The hamburger steak is beyond delicious! Great little place for a down home country meal!
