The Beach - Las Terrenas

Ernest Hemingway was the only thing missing...location, vibe, food and booze make it a place out of this world. Perfect for a romantic lunch!

Delicious cuisine in an upscale setting. Local favorites (coconut chips) as well as international fare. Good service. Go for the beach views and the rum!

The setting is great, but the food has a hard time catching up... I love fresh fish, so I have been taking the opportunity to try some in each place I go to in the area. Here it was dry to the point of being inedible. Great looking, but not good. Possibly frozen on the day it was delivered to the kitchen, not a fresh catch. The other side of the beach is a home to a small shack-restaurant where you can find a superior, mouthwatering grilled fish. And much, much cheaper than than here.

Excellent place, beach restaurant, very good food and service.
