Pepi's - Laurel

This is the 2nd time I have been here and it was about the same as the 1st time.The view is great so there is that. 4 of us went this weekend for lunch and 3 of us ordered mojitos. I dont know what the drink was but nothing close to a mojito. I sent mine back. I then ordered a cosmo..again just weird. A new bartender is absolutely necessary. Now we get to the food..Clam chowder was nice. We ordered a cup for each of us. My husband and father in law got salads. My mother and I got steamed clams..Everyone ate in silence as there was nothing to say about this food..not very good. With tip $200.00 later...yeah.

Food was very good (had chicken Milanese their veal dish).. of course the view is fantastic...casual prices that I think are appropriate ...go!!!

We started with the most incredible New England clam chowder which was absolutely delicious, perfect amount of creaminess. The white wine mussels were tender, sweet and cooked well. Our main lunch dishes were the chicken quesadilla with jalapeño and bacon and the Caesar salad. The quesadilla was wonderful and hit the spot. The Caesar salad had shaved Parmesan cheese on it which is definitely a favorite of mine. The dressing was clearly homemade and flavorful without being overpowering. Gorgeous ambience in a casual setting. Very enjoyable late lunch.

The intentional and able are unfortunately the only positive at this place bad service, overpriced for what they receive and eating was spoiled! the sign outside says "Lobster, steak seafood there was no lobster and a steak on the menu. menu didn't say what of steak it was, but for $36 we didn't expect a first-class cut, but we didn't expect 4 slices of london broil drowned in dosengravie. my wife ordered the calf - she was sent back because she was freeze-cooled and badly advised. had to spit out after the first bite. obviously it was sent back. the management has not even tried to correct or apologise for serving spoiled meat. but our 14-year-old waiter proudly claimed that he took it out of the bill when we got one. that brings me to my other point. I'm all for kids working. it is necessary, especially for the children of today. but this staff should have worked in one of the local ice salons or bushes, not wartestaff. they cannot calculate what this place costs and have inexperienced children who serve them. we had to ask our waiter if there were special, and he didn't even know. he had to look and come back to tell us. great location, but I would never go back here or recommend them to everyone.

This place has the most incredible view. Food is great. Service is good. Atmosphere is exactly what you are looking for when you come out here to get away from the insanity of NYC. A must stop place to eat and enjoy a bottle of wine on the bay.
