Don Camillo Peppone - Leipzig

Pretty standard Italian food but even on a busy evening the service was attentive and friendly for our mixed nationality group. Pasta was tasty, steaks looked good and the whole fish was dressed at the table. Reasonable prices too for the centre of the city

Found this restaurant by chance and got lucky. Outstanding Italian food at reasonable prices. The Penne Arrabiata and prawns were top class As was the house red

The food is really good and the staff provides friendly and excellent service, prices are fine, not expensive, easily reachable in the old town

Awesome atmosphere and good service for a German resteraunt. I had lasagne and a tiramisu and both were ok. Location is right in city center, so this place is close to St. Thomas Church where Bach played organ

Also noch zentraler als hier kann man kaum sitzen. Mitten im Leben, toll zum entspannen und schauen...Wer allerdings einen spitzen Italiener erwartet, ist hier leider nicht richtig, denn die Karte ist überschaubar, meine Vorspeise (Parmesan mit rucolasalat) war völlig ungewürzt und der Parmesan hat nach nichts geschmeckt. Also kurz Parmesan gehobelt, Salat auf den Teller und fertig ist die Vorspeise für 8,90€.Ich hatte als Hauptgang eine Pizza Tonno. Sie war ok. Dünner Boden , vernünftig belegt, also in Summe handwerklich bodenständig. Die Pizza hat 9€ gekostet.Man kann also hier prima das Leben von Leipzig erleben bei vernünftigem Essen.
