As an asiat currently living in singapur, where their taste buds are trained to appreciate only the good type of Asian food, I must admit that I often warn that Asian foods are prepared and served in restaurants outside the region. but not...too long before, while we put in the northern part of france, we were treated to lunch in monsieur wok, which they claim to be the closest to authentic Asian joys that they could at least find in this side of france. So we and I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised by the food, the wide selection (it is a buffet, so yes, many options for their special gastronomic laune) and the price. the restaurant itself is very spacious with many tables for small to large groups. it is also child-friendly as we were there with our 17-month baby who loved the garlic frog legs too bits! depending on what they want, they can either have the already cooked dishes and they have in the rule some Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese etc. dishes for choice. or, they can have their fresh ingredients to cook some uncooked meats. when we were there, we noticed that all the tables were occupied and more people came when some went, so I guess they had some good succession of the inhabitants in the opposite. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case because it's good value for money.
As an Asian currently living in Singapore where your taste buds are trained to appreciate only the good kind of Asian food, I must admit that I am often wary of Asian food being prepared and served in restaurants outside of the region. However, not too long ago while visiting in-laws in the northern part of France, we were treated to lunch at Monsieur Wok - which they claim to be the closest to authentic Asian delights they could find in this side of France at least. So we went and I must say that we were pleasantly surprised by the food, the wide range of choices (it's a buffet, so yes, plenty of options for your particular gastronomic whim) and the price. The restaurant itself is quite spacious with a lot of tables for small to big groups. It's also kid-friendly, as we were there with our 17-month old baby who loved the garlic frog legs to bits! Depending on what you fancy, you can either have the already-cooked dishes and they usually have some Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese etc dishes to choose from. Or, you can take their fresh ingredients - some uncooked meat, fish, vegetables, noodles - and have the chef cook them for you as per your preference. When we were there, we noticed that all tables were occupied and more people were arriving as some were leaving, so I reckon that they have amassed some good following from residents in the area. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case because it's good value for money.
