The jerk chicken was spicy and may have been boiled in jerk sauce, not grilled or pan fried at all. I asked to PAY for a side of tomato and onion and was told I would need to buy a whole meal if I wanted a slice of tomato and slice of onion. Not sure if it they were having a bad day but I HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND.
I visit this restaurant every three months when I'm in town, and I really enjoyed my food. However, I think the beef patties could use more filling considering the amount of dough they have. The hours for food service could improve, but the staff is friendly. It's also a great spot to buy seasonings from their culture.
I ordered through DoorDash and got the egusi with goat and pounded yam fufu. While the food was delicious, the portion sizes were extremely small. The single piece of goat included was tasty, but overall, I don’t think it’s worth the $20 price tag for delivery.
My experience at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. There was a shortage of servings with both the oxtails and the jerk chicken main dish. Having enjoyed many African dishes, I can confidently say that this was the worst I've ever had. The jerk chicken didn't taste anything like jerk chicken; it was more like baked BBQ, which was really disappointing.
I got the tilapia meal and it was so amazing!! The best I’ve had by far. The red beans and rice was sooo delicious! I have to go back ASAP!!
