The Melting Pot Longwood

This place has been one of my guilty pleasures my entire life. The melted cheese section is life giving. I don’t know what to say except it’s just so so good. The vibe is good for a romantic date, a family outing, birthday dinner, or with friends who are just ready to indulge in cheese and wine. I come here more than is probably healthy

Best salad you can have! The server was super patient! He explained everything in detail and tried his best to accommodate us. I think the food is just okay. The flaming turtle dessert was fantastic! Colorado Fondue use the hot stone for your meat while here they only have griddles.The sauces are just very regular, nothing special. This is a pricy place, make sure you reserve ahead and go there for special occasions.

We did the 4 course 2 person deal and we were happy, it was a fun and new experience! The alpine fondue was tasty, it would’ve been good if the bread was crispy but it was otherwise good. The house salad was really good, but I can’t help but feel that it just filled me up more before the entree. We ordered the pacific rim and the garden pot with coc au vin as the cooking style, and it was both delicious and fun to cook that way. Only real issue here is that the veggies tend to fall off the skewers and then have to be fished out. We wrapped up with the bourbon pecan chocolate fondue and, although we were super full, we really liked it. Our waitress forgot to turn on the heat on the chocolate at first, but we still enjoyed it. All in all it was a fun and romantic celebration and they even put flower petals and candles on the table. Fun night, definitely enjoyed it!

Great for celebrating special occasions. We ordered the complete fondue experience for two. The beef bourguignonne broth is delish. There’s a complimentary birthday card and chocolate coated strawberry for the celebrant

We went for the Thursdate experience, made the reservation under this, hostess confirm that reservation when we came when we sat our table was not done as it suspected, then our waitress would not make the reservation we made and did not make such attempts to reconcile. Very disappointing service overall. Eating was average quality, the drinks were poor, and over everything was certainly not worth almost $200 on.
