It seemed pretty quiet, but definitely picked up when we were done. My Hubby and I split a fish Ruben and had two beers and got the bread pudding for the desert. I am definitely thrilled to try her brunch! We'll be back and trust I'll say... This could be our new place.
I’m ashamed to say I’ve lived less than a mile away for 5 years and just not tried the Aardvark. The food is delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was fun and upbeat. We came for Sunday brunch and got the hangover sandwich (pictured) and the steak n eggs (pictured) along with bottomless mimosas. First of all, there is a special place in my heart for a restaurant that knows that a mimosa is 99% champagne and 1% juice (we are rounding up here). We got the pineapple mimosa but they also had orange and cranberry as options. I will say, my steak was cooked more medium than medium well but I personally only order medium well at restaurants that aren’t known for their steaks because they usually undercook it so it’s not even worth taking a star away. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned very well. Our server made sure to keep our drinks full and show us pictures of her dogs (always a win for us). I also appreciate that they have a lot of deals on Monday’s for service workers such as Monday brunch, $2 miller lite or yeunglings and $3.50 house wines all day. Definitely recommend.
Came on a Wednesday afternoon. There was a small parking lot in front so I could see if it was busy you might have to park somewhere else. You walk in and sit wherever you want. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The have beer on tap and they also have a fridge full of all kinds of beers that you can help yourself too. I ordered the garlic Parmesan wings and omg they were sooo good and crispy. They weren't messy and oily like other places would be. For dessert we got the vanilla caramel bread pudding which was awesome as well. Everything came out fresh and hot! I've never been here before but I'll definitely be back.
Nice little neighborhood joint. Good craft beer selection, both to drink there or to take home from the cooler. They also have a small wine store section to drink or take home. Eclectic menu, with different offerings that you don’t often find elsewhere. A few tvs and a bar for those who want to catch a game and have a drink. Worth a visit.
Stumbled across this place the other night. Outside looks like it should be a cool place. Inside does too. Nice selection of wine and beers. Wide variety of menu options. The burger was ok. The mahi Ruben was better than ok. Fries were cold and not fresh. Three ladies behind the bar. One was hustling. One looked like an owner/manager and spent most her time chatting with someone that looked like a possible regular. The third one was angry. Fight with the ex, disagreement with landlord, dog ran away. Not sure. But she absolutely 100% never recognized our existence let alone offered any service. It's unlikely we'd go out of our way to come here again. My guess is that it's more of a local's place.
