The menu is extensive and the food is delicious. Pastrami and corned beef sandwiches with meat piled so high you can’t get your mouth around the sandwich. But you can order half sandwiches so you can at least finish your meal. Another strategy is to have an order of toast and split the meat into two sandwiches. Serve breakfast all day and they have a deli counter if you want to bring some cold cuts or sides home with you. No beer or wine but a big selection of beverages. Service was pleasant and competent and prices were very reasonable. A rewarding dining experience, particularly if you miss or want a New York deli experience. We give Factors four clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.
Traditional NY style deli serves up big portions in a panelled room with 75 years of history. Excellent mushroom and barley soup and luncheon meat sandwiches. Apple pie only so so. I liked it better than the much more expensive Nate Al's.
Delicious old world style jewish deli. All of your favorites are on the menu and easy on the pocket book. Great portions to boot.
I've waited a couple weeks to write this in the hopes that I would feel better and could give a better review. It didn't happen. Let me start by saying that up until 10 years ago when I moved to the South Bay from the neighborhood this was my go-to Deli. I was there at least once a week. Even pre-covid when I didn't live in the area I'd still managed to place an order at least once every couple months when I was in the area. The quality of the food and their Sky High sandwiches is what kept me coming back. Two weeks ago on Monday I was in the neighborhood for an appointment and decided to stop and get a pastrami on rye. I called the restaurant to order and asked if the reuben and the Sky High sandwiches were the same size in terms of amount of meat. I was told they were so I ordered the Reuben minus the sauerkraut. When I arrived to pick up the sandwich the cashier showed me the size of it which was a third of what it used to be. It was $26.50 for something that should have been about $16.. when I saw the sandwich I told the woman that I didn't want to purchase it that it was a complete waste of money and not worth what they were charging. She said to me that it was already made and I had to take it. I felt completely ripped off. I understand that Deli is more expensive than other places but Brents Deli in the Valley is still giving sandwiches that are actually Sky High sandwiches and their prices are lower. While the pastrami quality was decent the size of the sandwich for what they were charging was completely out of proportion and I wish I had refused the order and walked out. Also their little 2 bite side of macaroni salad was not the macaroni they used to make and it was awful. They have some nerve calling that a side... They've lost a customer that has been going there for over 30 years. They need to reduce their prices and increase their portions. There is no excuse for this huge disappointment. I would encourage people to find other solutions. Too bad Jerry's and Juniors are closed but it's a matter of time before another Deli opens up and hopefully provides real competition.
The BEST corned beef and pastrami sandwiches west of Brooklyn. I love this place.
