My grandparents used to enjoy ordering from here as well; they would have loved to dine in. Rest in peace to them.
I visited this restaurant yesterday and ordered chicken chow mein and broccoli beef, and I must say it was the worst Chinese food I've ever had! The total came to $32, and I ended up throwing it away. The chow mein had only four small pieces of chicken and was incredibly greasy. The broccoli beef was also lacking in flavor and greasy as well. I used to eat here in the 90s when Paul was still around, and the food was good back then, but now it's just terrible!
The food here is decent, but it's nothing remarkable; it's more like the kind of meal you'd get for takeout, except you're dining in. I understand that tipping is common in the U.S., but our server really pushed us to give her a tip, which was a bit off-putting. Aside from that, everyone was friendly.
This eatery is hidden and old school. Besides the dodger nostalgia and the great customer service, food was okay.
Love Paul's kitchen been going there since 1980 is great
