The poblano corn dip lacked flavor and I wasn't a fan of the vegan cream base. The vegan chile relleno was also bland and had an overwhelming amount of dill. I might return for drinks and snacks with friends, as the salsas were tasty, but overall, this isn't a restaurant I would go out of my way to visit.
I ordered the vegan chiles rellenos. It was not fried, a bit soggy, and the cream and corn filling was under-seasoned. The rice and beans on the side had no flavor. The margarita was not sweet and tasted more like flavored ice with alcohol. The mushroom tacos were okay, but the guacamole was fantastic. Overall, the experience was disappointing and not worth a visit.
I ordered the mushroom taco, vegan elote, sweet plantains, and hibiscus lemonade, and they were all delicious! My friend, who is not vegan, enjoyed the chicken tinga tacos. Their guacamole is also fantastic. If you're looking for vegan Mexican food in LA, definitely give this place a try!
I had the Vegan Elote A La Pocha and the Vegan Ceviche. Both were delicious! They had a nice outside seating area in the back. Definitely will be going back and can’t wait to try the other vegan dishes.
The chilequiles and cafe de olla for the win ?.Parking: Theres a lot behind the restaurant and street parking
