Queen's Bakery - Los Angeles

The bread at this restaurant is incredibly soft and the pastries are delicious. It gives me a nostalgic longing for Asia. The owners are kind and have been there for a long time.

The cakes and almond cookies at this restaurant are absolutely delicious.

I tried this restaurant for lunch, as it was only about 5-7 minutes away from my home. The place was quite decent overall. Our favorite dish was the beef tongue, which was sliced super thin so it was not chewy at all once boiled. The pork garlic dish was also flavorful with a peppery garlic taste. We also tried the bark ropes finger dish, which had a great flavor. The banchans were buffet style, which we loved because we didn't have to keep asking our server for more of a particular dish. They also provided sauces like brust sauce, chili, and sesame oil. Free ice was available as well, and when I left, they had green tea ice.

I sampled the strawberry shortcake with almonds at this restaurant. Overall, it was okay. The cake was slightly dry, but the strawberries and almonds were delicious, and the sweetness level was just right. However, I did not enjoy the almond cookies as they had a strange artificial flavor. While it was a nice experience to try this place, it does not compare to Porto's in terms of taste, price, or quality.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while now. Every year, I order my Queen's baby's birthday cake from this restaurant and they never fail to impress me with their decorations, design, and flavor. The price is reasonable considering the high quality of their cakes. Ordering via email was a breeze and the staff members were incredibly helpful and provided exceptional service.
