Somisomi - Los Angeles

Came on recommendation of a friend who had posted on Instagram. It is located in a shopping center, so it has a parking lot. It's a sweet little place. The soft ice cream was delicious. I had the matcha/cookies and cream swirl filled with roasted coconut with goldenfish-shaped waffle cone filled with Nutella. What a perfect mix, the waffle cone is made fresh!! Better! My son had the strawberry/egg swirl, he ordered his in a cup with the waffle cone and he loved it. My oldest ordered cookies and cream and topped them with muesli and oreos. Super sweet and delicious snack! We wish they had a location in NJ!!

I love Somi Somi! That was her first location and that was where I tried her first. I had them over five years ago and I was obsessed with them all the time. It is really nice to see that it expands and opened other locations, especially in OC where I live! I love getting her Ahboong filled with Red Bean. I don't have a favorite soft-serve flavor, they're all so good and I think they're turning their flavors, I have no taste I didn't like. I love eating the ice and filling with the Taiyaki cone, the flavors go so well together. But these are so big and I can never finish it so that I can share or take the rest home! I got her Taiyaki too, but I like her Ahboong more. This is located in a shopping area. You have a paid park structure, but I think they have valid parking for you, so bring your ticket and once it is validated, I think parking is free. It's on the second floor. It thinks during the busy hours there can be a waiting time so I try to go during the break. Line's going pretty fast. I'm not sure, but of what I remember, there's not much seat, very casual place.

Delicious milky soft serving in a Bounguh bbang cone?! Absolutely delicious! The Korean style taiyaki shaped waffle cone is slightly sweetened, crisp, warm and couples perfectly well with the soft serving. Personally, I don't get any fillings in the cone except the ice, because it gets creepy to eat, but if you are ready to take the risk, you get the cone with Nutella! I believed somisomi's soft serving and was not disappointed. I was in other places and remember that they were something on the sweeter side. (Food 5/5) But this location has the taste and sweet level at point. I have the ube/matcha soft serving with the fish with Custard. The fish was beautiful and crispy and the custard was exactly the right amount, well balanced with the rest of the soft portion. They also give a free strawberry or macaron to serve the soft at the end. [Service 5/5]: You have to order 2 self-ordering machines. The service was really fast after I ordered. I came on Monday, but I'm not sure how it is on weekends. [Ambiance 5/5]: Somisomi is on the top floor and they have an inside seat. Everything from the order area where the blows are to the seating area looked pretty clean. I'd definitely come back.

As one of the popular ice-cream places in Korea town, it is not that bad, it is fun shaped ice-cream. They have good toppings and fillings.. the quality of the ice-cream is not that great, but tastes good.
