The Backhouse-weho - Los Angeles

The Backhouse is fantastic. Everything I've tried has been delicious and fresh. The sushi is outstanding! The drinks are great as well. Definitely give it a try!

My aunt brought me here for a birthday dinner, and we arrived just in time for the end of happy hour. The food and deals were absolutely amazing! If you plan to visit, make sure to come during happy hour from 4:30 to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. I included some photos of the rolls we ordered. Overall, I’d give this place a 10/10, and I can't wait to return. They even surprised me with a little birthday treat to celebrate!

I'm glad I finally visited this restaurant because the food was incredible! We arrived quite late on a Tuesday, yet there was still a good crowd, although we easily found a place to sit. The ambiance is relaxed, featuring colorful mood lighting, a nice bar, and a somewhat separated dining area. I really enjoyed the energy in the place. The food was all fresh and expertly prepared. The yuzu scallop carpaccio was our favorite dish of the evening. We ordered the yakitori combo, which was a perfect portion for two to share. The truffle salmon nigiri was so delicious that we ended up ordering another serving. Everything else we sampled was also quite impressive. In total, we spent about $50 per person, which we felt was reasonable given the quality of the food. The service was nothing out of the ordinary, but the staff were friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning!

This meal was so good that I couldn't stop thinking about it the next day and wanted to go back a second night in a row. The edamame with truffle garlic soy sauce was so good that we kept the empty bowl on the table just to dip everything else in the remnants of the sauce. The salmon carpaccio in truffle sauce was like butter great flavor. And the beef tongue yakitori was grilled to perfection. The prices were good considering the area. I will definitely be back!
