Rick's Ribs - Loves Park

Oh my goodness! The food was absolutely delicious! The staff was incredibly courteous. I had the pulled pork dinner, and the pork was fantastic; they even provided me with extra BBQ sauce when I asked. For my two sides, I chose baked beans, which were nice, and collard greens, which were outstanding. I actually had enough leftover to enjoy lunch the next day! It was truly delicious!

The food was excellent, but I wish there were more options on the weekend menu. Overall, I would rate it 5 out of 5!

I was quite disappointed with my recent visit. I ordered two meat dinners, and I left feeling unsatisfied. It might have just been an off day for the restaurant, but the portions did not meet their usual standards. The mac and cheese was dry and lacked the rich cheesy flavor it typically has. The potato salad tasted store-bought, whereas they usually offer a delicious homemade version. My wings were hard and dry, reminiscent of frozen wings from Walmart. The fries were undercooked and also dry. I was really unhappy with my meal, especially given the nearly $42 price tag.

I used to be a regular at this restaurant, but I have decided to stop going. The male manager is rude, and during my last visit, my order was incorrect. He refused to remake my fried fish, which was overcooked, and spoke to me disrespectfully when I asked for a new dish. As a result, I didn't enjoy my meal at all. To make matters worse, they almost forgot my dessert and cornbread. This was the second time I had an issue with the fish being fried too hard. The manager and his staff appeared indifferent to customers, even laughing at them. I recommend exercising caution when dealing with this manager; it is unacceptable to have your order messed up and not receive a correction. The customer service here is severely lacking, and if they get your order wrong, you cannot expect them to fix it. I do not recommend this restaurant.

All I can say is thank you for serving such amazing soul food! Ricky Ribs in Loves Park, Illinois, has truly impressed me with its delicious dishes and cake. After moving here, I found it challenging to find good food, but this place is a gem. I highly recommend it!
