I am a big fan of posta mirandesa, a north Portuguese style ribeye that rival everything I found at high-end steakhouse in hongkong and macau for a long time. we also like very much the desserts, the pigeon and some of their desserts, another real strength of the FADO restaurant in the royal macau hotel. Note: fado was a hidden gem restaurant 4 years ago, but no longer. we have fed here in almost empty seating area with only a few more tables. these days have passed since fado is now square in the mix when it comes to the best restaurants for Portuguese restaurants in macau. in the last few years we have thrived in almost full-fledged restaurant. in future it will probably be necessary to make bookings here to guarantee seats. during a recent meal we enjoyed the posta mirandesa as usual. see my previous reviews for more details, but in a short time it was excellent, perfectly prepared for medium rare and so tasteful. we also had the dungeon that is a beautiful version of this Portuguese and macanese favorit. the fado serve offers a wider selection of ingredients than most traditional arroz de pato dishes that they find in macau. it is beautiful medley of aromen and a quality dish. the restaurant also has a small but well planned wine card. there are suggestions for any net we have found to add dishes very well. Flaps are also very cheap in comparison to similar caliber restaurants around macau. Finally, fado is a best place for desserts. the pumpkin lava cake is incredibly delicious, one of my favorite everywhere. the almond cake with zimtpudding, carrot orange delight and the best chocolate cake created a cake that is the world-famous "best chocolate cake ' by lissabon based carlos braz lopes, are all very good as. In short, they cannot go wrong with desserts at fado. at the end we leave this restaurant with full bells, big smiles and a jealous for our next meal at fado. this is a simple restaurant for those interested in a qualitatiw high quality dinner at visit in macau.
Every dish of the set dinner was very delicious! see the menu in my photos attached. pumpkin lava cake was very delicious! next to the set menu we also ordered the otopus with kartoffeln. service was also very good and seating was spacious. the lunch is very good at mop 168 for three courses and is also available at the weekend.
Classic Portuguese, hotel restaurant style. Located in Hotel Royal, good lunch set. Can have two or three course meals. Free bread basket! Service is top notch, five star style. Reservations are recommended for lunch, as the area is close to several working businesses.
A bit overpriced, 150mop per person for a set lunch, but the quality is not matching the expectation. Service and environment is okay.
Got to be one of the all time favourite restaurants in Macau, especially when you are staying at the hotel.
