Krazy Chix - MALABAR

I don't know what they do, but the BBQ chicken from Krazy Chix is the best. The stuffing is rice based and delicious - not too dry, but dry enough that it's a pleasure to eat, the skin (yeah, I know, we're supposed to peel chicken skin off and just eat the meat, but really... c'mon!) is divine... salty and crisp, but not dry, and the flesh of the chicken tastes like no other BBQ chicken I've ever had. It's not cheap, but it's extremely good value and once you're eat a Krazy Chix chicken, even $7 on a supermarket chook will feel like a rip-off.I live nearby and have had their burgers too - which I recommend, as well as their roast meat rolls - beef and pork. They have a wide range of salads and even make a pretty good coffee. The biggest disappointment is that they close down for a few weeks after Christmas each year, leaving the rest of us to wander around aimlessly until they reopen and we can get our Krazy Chix fix once more!I highly recommend grabbing a chicken and some salads, maybe even some chips, and taking it down to the beach, or a nearby park and having a top quality picnic!

Krazy Chix might look like a typical small suburban burger bar and they do all the regular fast-food favourites including fish and chips. But what set the shop apart is the excellent array of healthy salads. Many of these are chicken-based (chicken & avo, chicken & broccoli etc) plus lots of others like coleslaw, chick pea salad, brown rice salad etc. Great range, fresh ingredients, and you can 'mix-n-mash'. The shopfront is narrow and they have limited seating - a few small tables along one wall but it seemed most customers order takeaway

Krazy Chix is a local favourite and offers an array of tasty take away options. I find that I love their chicken and salads. I often pick up dinner here for myself and my family. You won't be disappointed with the service or the food choices if you want a quick but delicious lunch or dinner.
