El Pollo Loco - Manhattan Beach

Always good food, but this place fought. They ran out of chickens, tortillas and potatoes while I was there. There were also fruit flies hanging around the soda machine.

I ordered pollen ball combo. I have rice with chicken skin. I eat a lot at El pollo loco. That was the worst food I ever got.

I always choose to visit this location, even though it's a 30-minute drive from my home, because of the outstanding service. The staff here are all fantastic, but two employees, Denise and Sarahy, go above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They always insist that I don’t need to tip, but I can’t help but do so for their exceptional service.

DO NOT COME HERE DURING LUNCH TIME(12-2) DURING THE WEEK. They?re INCREDIBLY slow. Food/customer service is always really good but man, the wait is really astronomical. *Update* after waiting 30minutes in line, I was told I had to pay for each creamy cilantro I wanted. When I told the worker that was no problem, she then closed the window, opened it and offered me 1 then told me she couldn?t give me nor sell me anymore because they are only for the salads. How on earth are they going to tell me I can?t use a condiment how I see fit if I?m paying? Also, if they are 75cents each, why did she give me 1 for free but not allow me to buy any more?

The chicken was cooked to perfection—fresh and hot! However, they ran out of potatoes and forgot to include all the extra salsas I requested. I'm glad I double-checked before leaving the drive-thru. There definitely wasn't enough salsa for a 12-piece meal.
