Village Perk Cafe - Manitou Beach

Quaint and charming little cafe. Served a tasty panini and soup of the day combo. My boyfriend loved his pie. Seating overlooking the beach and lake inside and out. 2 panini/soup combos, 1 iced coffee, 1 tea, and 1 piece of pie came to $30. Homemade and tasty. Service was super slow (I overheard them saying they were short-staffed). The girl who served us didn't smile/seemed unimpressed. Despite the service I'd recommend this place for the food.

Tried to stop in for lunch on the Monday of the long weekend. Stood at the counter for at least 10 min, and no one even acknowledged us. A customer who was seated already came to the counter and asked when their meals would be ready. Worker was very rude and gave excuses like they were short staffed, and the kitchen was really small etc, etc., Customer Service? Resort town? Long weekend? Did they not expect to be busy? Do they not want customers? CASH ONLY, come on, wake up! Left without even getting the chance to order.

This is a great place for lunch right on the beach. Delicious soup and sandwiches and amazing pies. Highly recommend for a midday meal.

The atmosphere was very relaxed. The furnishings were retro and took me back to my childhood. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was perfect. We loved it and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Our group stopped in and enjoyed some sweets and a great view of the lake. Apple pie with ice cream, a peanut butter cheesecake and cinnamon rolls were shared and given all thumbs up. Clearly all home made and delicious. A wonderful view of the lake and a step back in time with formica tables and Elvis playing on the speakers in the seating area. Staff was very friendly and our youngest purchased a citrine crystal and they took the time to write it out so that he could look it up later.
