Water's Edge Restaurant - Manitou Beach

Outstanding service, amazing food, very enjoyable atmosphere and enjoyable surroundings and view of the lake.

Ate 3 breakfasts here; service varied (got water on 2 of 3 days - only service offered; no tea, coffee or juice offered - got those myself). Food was poor. Scrambled eggs looked old (one day was there at 7 and another day at 9 and they looked the same); fresh fruit was in a bowl (apples, oranges and bananas) with a sign that it cost $1 to take away to room; berries were sugared; there may have been some plain yogurt in a bowl - hard to tell - no labels indicating what anything was. I stuck with porridge and it was fine. Ate 2 dinners: service as good at both. my food was good but others' eating with me had some odd looking meals (eg. quesadillas).

Long line ups. Food is ok....not great.There is an older woman there who is really quite rude. Always bustling around and when another waitress was seating us she butted in and took over. I felt badly for the young girl.

Great fathers day brunch with eggs Benedict, ribs, cabbage rolls, full salad bar & desserts.Looks over Manitou lake very nice!

Great new look. Love the lounge fireplace. My wife had the ribs..excellent...fall off the bone ....honey garlic..mmmmmm. Nice to see real crab meat on the steak neptune instead of fake. Lots to choose from on the new menu. Love the salad bar. Friendly staff..very pleasant and seem very happy. We will be back!
