Ruth's Chris Steak House - Marelly's

This is a high end establishment which is ironically close to a few other high end restaurants in Dr Phillips. We ordered steak and shrimp, mashed potatoes and lobster bisque. My steak was overdone as I had ordered medium. The lobster bisque was not to my taste. The mashed potatoes were good as was the bread and dessert. Overall, this was decent but there are other restaurants in the area that I prefer.

Walking into a miserable dining room , dark uninviting . Slow service , no drink offered . Water boy arrives returns with a stale sub roll that had seen better days and had been stuck in an oven and warmed outside but cold through the middle . You could break your teeth it was do tough Lobster bisque arrived, slopped up the side of the bowl and served with a dessert spoon and not a soup spoon . Soup was thin cold ... no care taken . Steak arrives with sloppy spinach and mash potatoes , when potato gratin was ordered . When the gratin arrived , lumps of hard uncooked potatoes with American cheese nearly melted on top... inedible . Steak was poorly seasoned . Our anniversary cheesecake was poorly presented and we left half of it . At this point a dog walked past and sat grooming itself on the next table , I thought I was in a pub Horrible experience... we paid for the $122 steak but not the rest . High end steakhouse that needs to look at its product and service

We appreciated the attention given to us on our 49th anniversary. We did feel that the filet and lobster were not quite there and the lobster bisque was definitely not as it was several.months ago. However the service was impeccable and my husband's seabass was wonderful!

My wife and I have dined at Ruth 's Chris on numerous occasions. Some are for extra special occasions (an anniversary) and others are just-because special occasions (such as date night). We dined at Ruth 's Chris for Friday-night-date-night last week. As usual, we left extremely satisfied. The food was delectable, the service exception, and the atmosphere top notch. We enjoy going to this restaurant. It is our go to for special occasions and when we just want something different. We recommend this restaurant to others. One of our favorite entree is Salmon w Shrimp on top. The suace served with it is very delicious. My wife's favorite is the thick Lamb Chops- getting 4 chops and she always get them butterfly cooked and they are delicious. Dessert- the cheesecake is always a great choice.
