Oshio Restaurant Ltd - Markham

We made a reservation for 4 on Mother's Day and they had the table ready for us when we arrived. Their lunch specials are a great value as you get a lot of food for a great price. Most lunch specials come with miso soup, salad and congee. They also serve green tea through the meal. The food was good and the service was attentive. We had a great time. There is a little waterfall in the middle of the restaurant which gives the place a nice atmosphere. The servers are always very sweet.We love this place.

I was there for dinner (I was the only customer at first, but more people came after, although it was not busy).I ordered a set menu that came with salad, conge, main course, and ice cream, and a spider roll sushi. I was impressed with the sushi, it was not too many rice, the soft crab was crunchy and not hard. The presentation was nice too.The set menu was good too: the spicy chicken was tasty and the beef teriyaki was tender.

The food was excellent good quality, prepared fresh and many varieties to choose.The food came fast , good service worth it

Mall restaurant sushi? Surprisingly good! So they didn't have uni, but the sashimi lunch bento box was very good. The salmon, snapper and tuna sashimi were unusually thick, but quite fresh and tasty. Decent fish at a reasonable price. Adequate service in a average dining space.

Living in Sault Ste. Marie, ON leaves much to be desired for sushi, so when I came to Toronto, I knew that one of the first things I'd be looking for was good sushi. The reviews online for this place was great, so I decided to give it a whirl. I went around 1:45pm on a Tuesday. When I walked in, I was immediately approached by the staff & seated. They serve you hot green tea & a small cup of chicken rice soup. The only thing I've ever gotten complimentary at a sushi restaurant was chopsticks, so this was a new experience for me. I ordered seaweed salad (wakame) first, and it was brought out to me within 5-10 minutes. It was so delicious! Some places cheat and put cucumber in the salad so they don't have to use as much seaweed, but this one was nothing but seaweed. There was also a decorative presentation with what I think was coiled radish and carrot. (See photos) I ordered the Black Dragon Roll because I LOVE BBQ eel and shrimp tempura, and I only wanted to order 1 roll. This came with all of that and more. It was so so good. Low sodium soy sauce is available. That roll came with 10 pieces. My bill was $22 which wasn't too bad, and they were so friendly. The place seemed clean and there was a small active waterfall thing happening between the booths and the tables I was sitting at. I would definitely eat here again.
