The older people customer service skills are horrible get better employees

I travel weekly past Buckshots from Myrtle Beach to go to MUSC. We decided to support a black-owned business for a late lunch on our way back home. When we arrived, they reported that they were replenishing the buffet, so I responded no problem-we don't mind waiting. At this time, the server asked which food items we wanted. I requested the rice, mac cheese, cabbage, 2 chicken legs. She said, okay. She added everything to my plate except the fried chicken (stating that it was in the fryer she would bring it to me). Well, this is where the issue came in. She brought me a leg a thigh. I don't eat thighs. When I asked, she said that was all they had. By the time she brought it, I had already eaten about half of my sides, which meant that I was now obligated to pay for the meal. The bait switch was very unnecessary. It would have been much more customer-friendly to ask if I was okay for them to substitute, so I could have said, I would wait for the legs to get done or decide not to eat there since they didn't have what I wanted. Not to mention, we had to practically beg for a glass of water, too. I assume the lady who handled payment was the owner/manager, as her solution was to give me two fried chicken legs in a to-go box to take home. I didn't want to eat chicken later, I requested it as a lunch item. This establishment is poorly run and I will never go back there again.
