Andrew's Roots Restaurant - Meaford

Our family was on vacation over our 15th Wedding Anniversary and we were staying in Meaford. When up town days prior, we came across Andrew's Roots, checked out the menu and book d a reservation for our anniversary dinner with our children. It might be the best food I've ever eaten...FANTASTIC! And the four of us each had a different dessert so that we could try them all...I don't know if I could choose my favourite if I tried. The desserts were to die for! We will be back to this restaurant for future celebrations!

Ate there mid-July, on a rainy evening. The hostess was so friendly we felt like locals as we entered. The spicy roasted cauliflower appetizer was to die for! My dinner was done to perfection (rack of lamb) with the most tasty carrots. My husband loved his squash stuffed ravioli but I believe they vary the pasta offered.We don't usually have dessert but as the dinner was so delicious we had to try their dessert. I won't spoil the surprise as the dessert menu would vary, but go for the desserts. We shared one and did not regret it.I will always go back to Andrew's Roots when in the Meaford or Collingwood area.

Small towns are filled with charm but are often lacking when it comes to finer dining options. Andrew's Roots serves to dispel that myth. My wife and I found ourselves near Meaford during a Sunday drive up the Lake Huron coast and consulted TripAdvisor to see what our choices might be. Knew we maybe had a winner when we called ahead to Root's and discovered all their table were reserved for the evening, but they were willing to hold us two spots at the bar. We made a good decision. Had the feature cajun-spiced steak; my wife had the salmon. Both wonderful, as were our soup and salad appetizers, and our desserts (lavender pot de creme; walnut and candied bacon butter tarts). Decor and ambiance had the feel for a hipster cafe in the big city, and the service was delightful small-town friendly. Would go out of my way to return to Roots if ever in this neck of the woods again.

Food was amazing! LOVED the Caesar salad! Definitely would recommend to anyone young or old as the kids menu was perfect for anyone with little ones! Thanks Andrew, Syl and all staff for a great night out!

Brought my mom and her friend (Meafordite who had not been here before) and we all very much enjoyed it. I had pulled chicken tacos and the fries were hot and crispy. Mom had mushroom crepes and her friend had the soup and perogies. The mamosas were delish. Definitely a repeat destination.
