Once the server realized we weren't all ordering appetizers, pastas, and entrées, their attitude shifted noticeably. They even asked, "Are you sure this is all the food you want to order?" From that point on, it felt like they were rushing us through the meal to get us out as quickly as possible. This was evident to everyone at our table.
Andrew Michael is a classic Italian restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The menu features a variety of small dishes, appetizers, and main courses. While there are some staple items, many dishes change with the seasons. My favorite dish at Andrew Michael was definitely the A&M Breakfast, which stood out for its incredible flavor. The "spin rosso polenta" was exceptionally tasty, and the pork belly was rich, fatty, and had a subtle smokiness. The egg was cooked perfectly, maintaining its shape while melting beautifully over the dish.
Absolutely fantastic! My wife claimed it was possibly the best meal she has ever eaten. The chicken had a wonderfully crispy skin, and the steak was cooked to perfect medium rare. We also tried the cornbread, which was sweet, and the whipped ricotta was delicious. The service was excellent, and we have no complaints at all! They have a great selection of wines, including several from Italy. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. I highly recommend visiting this place; you won’t be disappointed!
Dined in with my wife. We were first-time visitors. We really liked the atmosphere and the crowd that patroned the place. We sat in the bar area in a corner to ourselves. Our server was Marvin and he was excellent: very friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt to service our every need. The food was good. I had the Maw Maw ravioli and my wife had the grouper. Our only complaint is that on the menu, the ravioli showed to be $18, but when the tab came, it was $36. We had no issue paying, but the discrepancy in price was misleading. Marvin advised us that the dinner portion is double, but the menu said no such thing if my memory serves me correctly. The alcohol beverages we had were well-made. We tried the chocolate sticky toffee dessert, and it was outstanding. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely come again. If you're dining as a couple, expect to spend around $150. Parking: We went on a Friday night and this place is on a street with like 3 other restaurants, so parking was a little scarce. They do offer valet.
The toffee dessert was the most amazing thing. Great ambiance. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chocolate Sticky Toffee Pudding with Salted Carmel Gelato
