Java Cabana - Memphis

I visited this charming, trendy little coffee shop this evening for a cup of coffee. The atmosphere is quite relaxed, and the service is a bit slow. The barista and the staff member were both friendly and welcoming. A few people were hanging out, and there was no sense of urgency in the air. I ordered a mocha, and while there were some baked treats available, I wasn’t in the mood for them. The coffee was good, though it was a bit sweeter than I prefer. I will definitely come back to this place again.

Cozy, intimate building with cool music and eclectic decor. This is the kind of hip coffee shop you hope to find. Many try to replicate this style. Most fail. Java Cabana succeeds. This place is great for a first time coffee date, or somewhere to sit down on a Sunday morning and have a cup of coffee and take in the surroundings. Cool joint.

Charming and cozy, with a unique blend of vintage tables and decor. I was initially worried about parking, but I found ample street parking available during the midday. The 16 oz. cup comes with three shots of espresso, and we tried the fancy vanilla latte and the mystery train—both were enjoyable, though I favored the fancy vanilla latte. They were sweet, but not overwhelmingly so like at a chain coffee shop.

This place is really charming. The iced coffees we ordered were absolutely delicious. The staff is very friendly, and it’s a peaceful spot where you can sit, read, or browse the internet.
