Some vegan options, including neo-political cakes, a pumpkin muffin, and a vegan sandwich. Many coffee choices, but there is an additional fee for vegetable milk. The neopolitical cake was delicious, but a little dry. The muffin was also delicious, like the espresso I had. Well furnished and cozy interior, friendly staff and a nice location. It is quite expensive, however, and it would be nice to have a few more vegan options.
It is so nice to have vegan option especially pastries. And at Fox the pastries are very good, and you will not be hungry after dinner! That's safe. And the place is well decorated, everything seems perfect at first sight. But. And there's a big one, but. This place is more expensive than most pastries in Paris. And it is not due to quality. Each Napolitain disc costs 4.1€... The v60 coffee costs 8€, it is the same price as the best coffee shop (multiple price wins) in Paris! In addition, there is an additional cost for herbal milk from...... 0.8€! I was speechless. Half price of one liter for a cup of coffee.... So yes, it is good to have an option, but I suspect that this is the “Hype” shop of the moment in Metz and price follow the hype. Updated by previous rating on 2022-10-05
Tried having breakfast here but many things were sold out. When asking for vegan options we were offered a Napolitan cake and a sad small bowl of cold potato wedges which we declined. Ended up with a veggie breakfast instead but it was not good at all. The lentil salad tasted awful, weirdly sour as if it had gone off. Cheese/eggs bagel was so-so. Iced coffee and matcha was bland. The cafe is cute but the food and drinks super disappointing. Only 1 vegan cake on offer.
The Fox was the most charming little cafe that I have been to in France. An absolute pearl with it's aesthetics and it's food.
