Flynn's Fish N Chips - Mill Bay

Today, the evaluation is the worst thing I've ever felt was necessary. Usually it would be a 10 and was always enjoyed in the past. I ordered two halibut and chips. it was busy and the tables were all full of people waiting for their commands and obviously not happy. a fair, hairy girl and one with dark hair tried to take care of her and the take out. Apparently the fair hair was new and the dark hair seemed to be a loss. when five commanded, they were placed on servier plates while the phone was answered. in the meantime, two commissions were placed on the rule. two other orders were taken to the tables, then the cash needed attention. Always great: I have lived in victoria for 25 years, and if I myself or with friends and family the island on or off, I make a point to stop for possibly the best pommes of all time! no more beautiful place: simple, clean, family friendly. wraps are loaded with veggies!

Partly great, partly awful. Friday December 5, 2014 I just returned from having a meal of halibut and chips at Flynn's at Frayne Centre, Mill Bay The halibut was excellent as usual and the coleslaw was okay, but the chips were third-rate and the coffee was really awful. They really need to improve the chips as this was the second time they fell below par. They were like all the little leftover bits and ends from cutting the potatoes. As this was between 4:30 and 5:00 the coffee should have been freshly brewed, but it was obviously either re-heated leftovers or had been sitting on the burner for a long time The service was nearly non-existent. Disapointing. I had take out. Halibut and chips. The fish was decent, a bit over battered for me, the tar tar was OK. The real complaint was the fries. Literally the WORST chips Ive ever had. They had the texture of a chip you let sit in the fridge over night then try to re-heat in the microwave. I had a large amount of them and even my kids wouldn't touch them. Besides the fact that french fries are the easiest thing to cook in the restaurant biz, I tried to give Flynns the benefit of the doubt by calling the manager and letting him know, who was apologetic and felt he was working out some issues with a new cook.
