Jw Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Muskoka Ice Caves (dinner)

This was a very funny, unique experience in muskoka that we will remember for years. it was great to have such a special, personal culinary experience. the personal was phenomenal, the environment was magical and the eating was delicious!

What an amazing experience the service was impeccable! it was a special opportunity to ring in the new year! it's expensive, but it's worth it for a special occasion. we have ordered so much food, but we have to take the transfers home. the charcuterie board was meh they do not recommend to make a better one. the fondue was really great, but he has a little smokey in the dome.

This was an extremely disappointing experience with the majority of disappointment over the under-average food. most of the dishes were left unleashed by us, even the carrots were not well cooked. we feel that we take advantage of ourselves and that the experience is hardly worth the half of what we have paid. the only extraordinary was the service. the ice cave itself was beautifully decorated, but not well kept with the structure not even properly joined together. Truly, sitting in the fire pit with a pizza would have been a better experience. we then went to the ice-cream that we paid extra, for which only shockingly bad was shown. the floor was not even covered with snow (as in the pictures) and was simply an exposed aluminum floor. the room itself also looked unclean. would you accept a little detail how it should take care of it? there was also no seating or proper presentation etc. and we have paid everything to spend a total of about 3 minutes in the ice bar. that was nothing like what was advertised and left us with the bitter taste of disappointment. Overall, we traveled over 24 hours to learn about dissatisfied with the shocking high price we paid for an under-average experience. the hotel itself is amazing, and the personal service was exceptional! I would not advise anyone to try this “experience”.

The personal was very nice and professional. it was a magical experience. the eating was amazing and was served timely we had the choice of ordering from the chop house menu or the cave menu and ww went with the cave menu that was an excellent choice the dome was beautifully decorated and heated with room heating it is definitely recommended for a fast toraway

The food and presentation were more like a conference or wedding than a fine dining experience. This is not what we expected for what we paid. Our server was inexperienced and clearly nervous which only added to the disappointment. The ambiance of the cave was wonderful. If the food lived up to the ambiance it would have been great. Do not recommend unless you like wedding food.
