Got to talk to the owner for a long time about their life and food philosophies. Super cool person--named chef I am I am. Gave me some life advice I needed. On the food side--got the boneless wings (I think? Which were fire, got the oyster mushroom 6 inch, which was extreme fire, and the butternut fries, which I detested. Sorry chef. They were extremely weird, like covered in a thick gloop (kinda like aloe Vera gel from the store that didn't really taste like much. And there was SO MUCH gloop!! Tbh, though, I wouldn't have ordered the fries without a recommendation, as I'm not the BIGGEST butternut fan, so that could be part of the reason I didn't like them, but really it was the texture that did me in. Anyway. I will order the wings and sandwich (or maybe try one of the rice platters every time I'm in the area. Felt like there was health benefits but still tasty (none of that unseasoned quinoa **** that is so often served at vegan spots .
My husband, our toddler and I were visiting Mobile and had to check out this all vegan food truck. We got the oyster mushroom sub, BBQ chickpeas, and crab cake sandwich. It was all freshly prepared by Chef Eddie who kept up a friendly conversation while cooking. It was all SO good. Our toddler loved the chickpeas. I hope we can get it again before leaving town.
Staying on Dauphin Island which is pretty much a vegan desert, Vegan Time in Mobile was well worth the drive. I had the most delicious burger and my partner loved the loaded taco. It is obvious the chef is dedicated and very creative. I highly recommend Vegan Time.
This place found after they tried a few other places around mobile. this is a way to place had the burger and butternut aprons, and they were amazing. if your vegan, vegetarian, carnivore is this must try.
