Ruby Thai Kitchen - Modesto

We've been regular patrons of this restaurant for a long time without any issues, but our experience last week was disappointing. My husband and I went in for dinner and asked to be seated at a specific table. However, the owner or manager instructed the server to place us at a different table, which we didn’t want. When we requested to be moved to another table, the manager told the server that we could wait at the entrance instead. We waited there for about half an hour, and finally asked the server for an update on our table. The manager then made it clear that we had to sit where he preferred, not where we had requested. It was evident that he was very friendly and accommodating to customers who appeared white, while we, being Hispanic, felt the difference in treatment. It's a shame! We used to be regular customers and recommended this place to others, but that's no longer the case. We will not be returning!

I have been to Thailand on multiple occasions, and while this may not be a good as noodles off a Bangkok street cart, but for Modesto, this is pretty darn close! I’m a s for Thai tea too! I really like the Thai beef jerky Appetizer with some siracha on it, but the noodles are all great, pad sew ewe are good, pad kee mao, and even the pad Thai which is my wife’s go to. Love this place!

I've eaten here for the past 15 years when I come to modesto. The food is always hot and fresh. The service is excellent.

Avoid this place like the plague. I order egg rolls and they were under cooked. How is that even possible? Broccoli Beef were missing the vegetables. If I could give no stars, I would.

I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant. I ordered egg rolls and they were undercooked, which is unacceptable. The broccoli beef was lacking vegetables altogether. If I could give zero stars, I definitely would.
