After about 20 minutes of waiting, we inquired about it and were told they were quite busy. Finally, after another 10 minutes, our meals arrived, but by then we could tell our filets had probably been sitting out for a while. The meat was barely warm and rather tough to cut, and the vegetables and potatoes were also lukewarm. Once we finished, the waitress brought us the check, but we were supposed to get dessert as part of our package. We flagged her down to place our dessert order. After another long wait, she returned with one dessert, despite there being two of us. She went back to fetch the second one and eventually brought it out. The dessert, bread pudding, was indeed delicious, but we left the restaurant nearly two hours after our arrival. Thankfully, the theater was just across the street. We’re not sure whether it was due to an inexperienced server, poor management, or something else, but the whole experience left us feeling unsatisfied. We typically like to tip generously for quality food and service, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case here.
The fried pickles here are the best I've ever tasted! The service we received that night was quite good, so I have no complaints on that front. I ordered a shrimp Po' boy, but it only came with four shrimp. However, those shrimp were absolutely delicious, so I didn't want to fuss about it. The fries were quite soggy, but I believe that issue could have been easily resolved if I had decided to send them back.
What a fantastic little discovery! I stopped in for lunch while traveling for work and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant's decor and interior are very appealing and spotless—think upscale, fancy rustic. The service was outstanding. I ordered the barrister burger with a side salad and a water, and they were more than happy to accommodate my request for a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. Both the burger and salad were delicious, bursting with great flavors. The only thing to note is that it leans towards the pricier side, in my opinion. My meal, which included the lettuce wrap burger, side salad, and water, cost $15.00, which seemed a bit high for lunch. However, that’s just my perspective. Overall, it was a great meal with excellent service in a unique setting.
The food is kind of expensive but of very high quality. My mother and I both purchased the Barrister Burger and instantly, audibly WOW ed at how delicious it was. The only bad thing is the wait time. We waited about 45 minutes for our food but the quality made up for it. The restaurant itself had a very vintage feel and was very aesthetic to the eyes however the tables were rickety. The servers were kind and checked up on us often.
This place is alright when it comes to their menu, it has a great vibe to it and also very nicely decorated on the interior for the town! The menu items may sometimes not be in and I feel like it's a little overpriced. The food taste is not like extra-ordinary, it's okay. Honestly this place could work wonders if instead of focusing on having a bit of all cuisines on their menu, they would just focus on 1 type of cuisine. They can still have a rotating menu but this way we a get sense of what direction the restaurant is trying to move in.
