Nicky's Pizza And Deli - Montebello

I just ordered the chicken Parm special and we were all so disappointed. It was cheap watery sauce with no taste no seasoning just straight from the can. The garlic knots were kind of burnt which made them hard. It was a terrible meal overall. I usually order from Novino but wanted to try something different to see if we can build a relationship with a different pizza place but I would never ever order this again. This is the third time they've disappointed us. I'm not sure what's happening here.

The best food. Not just pizza either. Their chicken dishes are better than most high end Italian restaurants. Ownership is the nicest as well!

I want to start by saying if a make a bad review it is to initiate a change of a place. Stopped by Nicky's Pizza for a 2nd time. I am astonished how this place was here for 55 years. I will start with the crust. (Needs more hydration) It is flat and dry. The sauce is like a cheap supermarket jar sauce. Kind of a paste.The cheese is not even that tasty. On the up side. The staff are friendly and the place seemed clean. It is obvious they are cutting cost by using inferior supplies. Which is the cause of poor Quality Pizza. I wish them another 55 years by adjusting the food suppliers.

This is the place to go for genuine, real NEW YORK pizza. Others may imitate, but nobody else copies. In other words, do yourself a favor and eat here.

I was quite disappointed with my experience. We ordered a pie with half regular and half sausage, along with a broccoli roll topped with mozzarella, totaling $30. Unfortunately, there was no flavor in any of the dishes. It felt like someone had rushed to the grocery store, grabbed the basic ingredients for the broccoli roll, and put it together without any thought. The dough was overly thick, the broccoli was definitely steamed (lacking any flavor), but at least it wasn't mushy. I'm left wondering if there's actually a chef in the kitchen. The regular pizza slice had way too much sauce (which was only mediocre in taste) and very little cheese. Again, the crust was quite thick. The sausage slices were decent, but the pizza slices themselves were on the smaller side. On the bright side, the service was acceptable and timely.
