Sunset Beach Reosrt - Montego Bay

The only place in Montego Bay Jamaica that was on Yelp. Couldn't add the other awesome restaurants either. Don't know how someone got so lucky? The Pork Pit was raved on here and TripAdvisor and was worth it in the very hot and humid weather that soon turned into a monsoon of a rainstorm. This place had my 2nd favorite Jerk chicken and bbq pork, they had some hot sauces and some mellow ones. Too scared to try the scotch bonnet pepper sauce and ended up with the green one which I forgot to take a picture of. Service was fast, efficient and with a smile. For sure will come back when in the Country.

They take advantage of tourists by charging double the price if you pay with a credit card or in US dollars.

I ordered the jerk pork, which was quite tasty, while my boyfriend tried the jerk chicken and wasn't a fan. The prices are on the higher side compared to other jerk spots, but the location is convenient. Customer service was lacking, but that's expected sometimes. It's a local place with benches, and it tends to get busy, although we arrived right when they opened, so it wasn't too crowded at that time. Still, there were some people waiting.

I love the food here! Every time I am in Jamaica (my motherland) I make sure to stop by and grab some food. They food, service and ambiance are always consistent which is very important and why I keep coming back.

Yummy! The pork was soooo good and tender! Most places in Jamaica seem to be out of most items on their menu but this place had everything! The meats we ordered also came out quick! I'm glad we stopped by this place because it was worth it!
