This was surprising. I immediately felt we were in Europe. Gentle and convivial. Gianni's food was superb - he is a chef who loves his work. The menu is a basically Italian with a hint of Spanish influence,. If you cannot find what you want on the menu, just ask - Gianni will oblige with the consummate skill of a true host.
We had a very enjoyable dinner at Da Gianni that included fresh York Peninsula oysters, a generous seafood combo dish and delicious garlic prawns. The service was attentive and friendly and the featured Vesevo Fiano wine complemented the seafood very nicely.
Visit Moonta twice a year and eat lunch there each time. Food is fabulous, could not fault anything. Service great, not expensive. Have taken friends there and all have been bowled over by the experience. Just great.
Lovely Italian restaurant in Moonta. Had the sirloin with Morton bay bugs, prawns and garlic sauce and Pollo free range. Accompanied with pear, parmesan and rocket salad. Finished off with trio of gelato and Affogato. Nice bottle of McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon to match. Thanks Gianni.
