Intrigued by this, we made sure to stop by on our way back to Perth. We had to wait until they opened on the day after Christmas, but it was definitely worth it. We bought two rolls and two cakes. The sausage rolls were the best I have ever had – a meal in themselves with delicious, fluffy pastry. The cakes were filled with flavorful gravy and tender meat. It was a delicious treat that made the journey back home even more enjoyable.
We went here as the reviews were excellent. we bought a bread, a cake and a pancake. the brot was amazingly rustic and crusty and so delicious that we should have bought two. However, the steak pee was disappointing both in. the filling and the baked, which was a very short baked. the cake was also very disappointing like a processed cake. the brot was 10/10, but the other 5/10. I would go back, but only to broth, but would definitely buy more than one. the shop presentation is 100%. the personal is completely above him and has no interest in simple joys at all.
I never thought I was so impressed by a pier store that I want to write a review, but oh yes! mt barker bakery is great! the cakes are cloby, crumbling and oozing with all possible delicious combinations of aromen. we also tried some desserts. we came to the recommendation of the staff who made our wine tasting in castle rock weingut, and defo wroth visit one when they drive around here.
This place is a hidden gem. They offer a wide variety of cakes, pastries, breads, and excellent coffee. It is located just a little ways off the main street. I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10 for the quality, quantity, and friendly service.
Okay, this review comes with a warning: do not enter this bakery if you are trying to count your calories or are feeling a bit seedy from the night before. This is the best bakery I've been to, sine I don't know when. We had...to wipe the our drool off the display cases (almost). The range of delectable delights is almost over whelming but we managed to sample as many scrumptious delights as possible, oohing and arrhing as we made the slow walk down the queue, and there's always a queue. Even the coffee is great. We are still talking about the salted caramel cheesecake, we wished we had bought. I would drive down to Mt Barker for an afternoon, just to visit this bakery. And to top it all off, there was a very cute baker restocking the cabinets, which just added to the pleasure overload.
