Since new management took over the fish and chips have improved and you get a decent size piece of fish. We will continue to return while they serve quality and quantity.
When I lived Mt Usa, this place was the place to go for your fish & chips! My expectations were let down, although they did a reasonable job of the battered barra, the rest was not good at all. They burnt the bun for the burger, the chips were not consistant, some overcooked, others pale & stay away from the prawn cutlets, they will break your teeth they are that hard. Did enquire if cutlets were fresh, told they were but they freeze them.
Unfortunately the traditional take-away shops have been crushed and pushed out by the multi-nationals with their bland offerings. After quite a bit of seeking out, I finally found this business. It appears quite popular with the locals, however the tourists and those here for work may easily miss this place, located in a suburban strip shopping centre. The service is good and prompt and the food is quite good too. Very much in the mold of the old traditional fish and chip shop.
No longer open but when it was the food was always very hot, fast and fresh. Prices were average for seafood and worth the $ anyway.
