After we were warmly welcomed and shown on our table, yes it is a friendly place, we chose a verdelho out of the area of the cellar door and were not disappointed. delicious, very tasty. we have filled on stockplates with local products, including cold meat and cheese from the region. the selection was varied and the wine, now the second glass, and the setting. we finished the meal with a selection of four ice creams, which, on a hot day in south queen eastsland, the brand beautiful for taste and cooling the palate. In summary, eating was great, the wee was very drinkable, the environment was relaxing and the entertainment has stopped a pleasant visit. Oh, and I have to say that they are a very friendly baptism that hits the sign out of the front.
The Italian festival occurs annually in September. For a $10 admission fee, we enjoyed a fantastic day filled with non-stop entertainment from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. There were plenty of food stands catering to all tastes, but the pasta trio for $12 was a standout. Local wine and beer were also available, and the views of the surrounding countryside were breathtaking.
The local weine of south burnett enjoy a great choice of weep. there is also a very good selection of liquours to rehearse. worth a visit and worth a try.
The meal was fantastic, with excellent service and entertainment provided by Tom on the saxophone. We enjoyed our meal on the veranda, which offered a stunning view of the local farmland. The Verdelho wine paired perfectly with our meal. The winery/restaurant is impeccably clean and beautiful, with ample parking and a friendly staff.
This is a great place to spend a couple of lunchtime hours. Not only does the restaurant provide the most amazing view and ambience but also the cellar door compliments with an excellent tasting experience. It 's not a case of What do you prefer? like...many other cellar doors. Instead mine host will take you through the full gamut of available wines before heading on to the substantial list of delicious liqueurs and all with a stiff dose of good humour! We try to visit the South Burnett at least once each year and always include a lunchtime soiree at Moffatdale Wines. Sundays are particularly good as they often have a Saxophonist on which really adds atmosphere to the vista. Our only small criticism is that the cheese platter could do with some Chutney!
