The Asteras - Nanaimo

We had dinner at this restaurant recently and the food was very good. the calamari and greek salad were excellent. the evening we were there it was very warm outside and the restaurant was also quite warm. the service was good except that our server put our bills together rather than asking us if we would like to pay separately, which was a bit odd considering we were 4 women out for dinner. generally a good experience tho - mostly because the food is delicious :)

Owner Peter is always on hand to greet you and make you feel special. The place is always packed, rain or shine, which speaks for itself. The food is authentic, and consistently tasty and nicely presented. You may even be rewarded with a delicious house dessert to share, on the house!.

One of if not the best Greek restaurant I've ever eaten at. The food, service and host top notch. One of a kind.

Great food and great atmosphere. Located in a charming old house. Food is among the best Greek food I have had.

We stopped by mid-afternoon for snacks and it was pretty busy for 1 waitress. She was excellent at managing several tables - friendly and efficient. The appetizers were excellent. Keep in mind for those with mobility issues there are stairs up to the restaurant.
