Feedback gevenI was very disappointed with this restaurant. The windows were dirty, the menu never changed, and the food was overpriced. The steak was small and tough, with no vegetables served alongside it, just a sauce and chips. The fish and chips were average at best and not worth the high price. The menu was uninteresting and expensive. Coach passengers received a much better meal than we did. The breakfast was okay, but the toaster was incredibly slow. It would be helpful to have multiple toasters to speed up the process. Additionally, having to get our own tea and coffee was inconvenient. The coffee tasted watered down. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant due to long wait times and prioritizing coach passengers.
We made a reservation for a large group for Sunday lunch at The Greenhouse Restaurant. The decor was beautiful and the table settings were lovely, providing a nice change from our usual spot at a well-known local hotel. Unfortunately, the meal itself was a letdown. The menu was limited and the vegetables were scarce. The meat was undercooked and the gravy was watery. The desserts were small and disappointing. Overall, we were not impressed and would not make another reservation at this restaurant.
While staying at the hotel, we had planned to dine at this restaurant every evening. However, we were surprised by the high cost of the main dishes, which were around £19 each. The menu was quite limited and did not change throughout the 5 days of our stay, and there were no daily specials offered. Despite this, we were pleased that our request to substitute polenta for potatoes was accommodated at no additional charge. The steak and lamb dishes we ordered were cooked well and quite delicious, and the service was also good.
Watch out for cold food, not worth the wait even the breakfast was not up to much considering the price, and the evening mealast was not fine dining by a long shoother!
I have just got back from the Aberafan Beach hotel We had booked a table my husband had salmon with mediterranean vegetables I had the duck breast with a cherry sauce served on a bed of cabbage then tangy Lemon tart for dessert food was excellent it was quiet in the restaurant but that just added to the meal. The bar area was busy and staff were attentive.
