5 Star Steak House - Newark

This location has been very consistent with their food and it has always been fresh. The one thing I really like that is different from most barbecue spots is that in their rice they also have vegetables.Food: 5/5

I order 5 Star quite often, the food is good. The restaurant is cute but, and clean. What I do want to say is that if you order bbq and request bbq sauce you may not get it. Plenty times it has happened, i comfirm its in the bag, then you check the to go bag and they hand it to you. Not nice.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level entrance, no steps.

Food is a hit or miss. My tilapia was super salty without any other flavor!!!! I would never order that again. I had their pork cubes before, again on the salty side but tolerable.Service is on the slow side so don't go here if you're in a rush or just order ahead of time.They have casual seating with plenty of tables. There's a small shared parking lot but it's usually full if you go during normal lunch time. Same goes for dinner. Street parking is limited.

Really good food. Great price too.I had the mixed cubes of pork, chicken and shrimp. Loved it, and had two more meals of leftovers to take home
