The presentation is also very good especially that of the coconut and sugarcane juice. I love the Burmese Tea Leaf Salad and the Mee Goreng dish which is my go to . Highly recommend and it is vegetarian friendly too!! I am an Indian Vegetarian.
They moved to Newark from Warm Springs area about 2 years ago. Experience authentic Burmese cuisine and a variety of other Asian dishes at this restaurant. Enjoy huge portions, fair prices, and friendly service, making it an excellent choice for a satisfying meal.
The food was average overall, with some appetizers and main courses being overly tangy and not to our liking. The curry fried rice and pineapple fried rice were okay.
Came here for the Malaysian food. Requested for more wok hey for the WaTanHor dish and they turned out pretty decent, pretty close to what I’d find back home in Singapore and Malaysia. Balacan Kang Kung (water spinach) was served with generous portion of balacan that I appreciate. Beef rendang is wetter and less spicy than what I’m normally used to but it was still pretty delightful. Jasmine rice was fluffy and fragrant.I appreciate that they had made it more mild instead of really spicy, so if you really want spicy you’d have to specify that specifically! Not a total 5, but more than a 4 for sure! But I’m giving 5 so that they will be here for a long time to serve the minority of us who may miss home food now and then!
