She even went out of her way to grab some bathing suit options for me from the gift shop when I realized I had forgotten mine. Her attentiveness and efficiency truly enhanced our visit! The massages and facials we selected were fantastic, making for an all-around great spa day. Although we didn't stay at the hotel, we definitely plan to on our next trip to the Poconos! Highlights of the hotel include its luxury and peaceful atmosphere.
The rooms have old locks on the front doors, which raises security concerns, as there is no safe for valuables inside. The food is both overpriced and of poor quality.
The property is stunningly beautiful. I highly recommend visiting the rooms in person before making a reservation. We stayed in the Turret room, which is located in the main manor house. The dining area is on the first floor, while the Turret is on the second. Unfortunately, you can hear the kitchen staff through the vents in the room. Additionally, there is a portable air conditioning unit on the second floor that is quite loud and disruptive. The room also contains several unusually large pieces of furniture that didn’t serve much purpose. The furniture had some nicks, and the fridge was dented. Furthermore, the internet connection was very poor.
We had a fantastic three-day getaway at this charming mountain retreat that exudes romantic European flair. We stayed in the Marseille suite, which was beautifully furnished and had everything we could possibly desire, including a fireplace, a bathtub, and a private balcony with stunning views. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, catering to all our needs and providing excellent recommendations for day trips. We thoroughly enjoyed the Tuesday Jazz night with small plates on the outdoor terrace, as well as another delightful meal in their exquisite dining room. The breakfasts were a true highlight! This place is genuinely a hidden gem in the Poconos, and we can't wait to return in the fall to experience the vibrant colors surrounding the French Manor.
The spa was wonderful—I enjoyed a fantastic massage and manicure. However, I was let down by the room. I had expected to be able to relax outside and take in the view, but instead, my balcony faced a construction site. The room had a musty smell, the bed was uncomfortable, and the bathroom could have used a thorough cleaning. Overall, the room felt like a significant waste of money. In hindsight, I wish I had just stayed home and gone to a day spa instead. Rooms: 1 Service: 4 Location: 3
