I totally forgot to make reservations and since it was Valentine's Day, I was a little worried to get a table. we came and talked to the hostes, and they suggested we have a few drinks on the bar while they prepare a table for us. we waited only about ten minutes before a very pilot fertilizer (luke, maybe? came here and accompanied us to our table. the two barkeepers behind the bar were very pilot and fast to begin with our wein. once sitting, our server, gary, was very attentive. he immediately approached us and delivered a wonderful presentation about the evening specialties. Dined at Othello's this past weekend after the OU/West Virginia Basketball Game. I was a little skeptical after the reviews I read online, but I can assure you this meal was one of the best I have had in Norman in a long time! We had a nice cozy booth on the restaurant side where we were greeted by a wonderful young man named Sam. He told us about the evening specials which all sounded to die for! We opted to start with stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, because the table next to us got them and they smelt delicious!!! Which they were... YUM!!! My husband got the steak, Filet I think. Great Evening!. Really enjoyed our first trip to Othello's this past week! From the great piano playing in the bar to the wonderful food! We had a great waitress, Nadya. She recommended the fried calalmari to get started with. You can tell this was hand breaded. It was very good! We had one of their featured dishes, the Chicken Dijonase which was very tasty! We also had some of the customer creations, the Helen's Baked Ravioli and Greg's Lasagna. It was all very tasty, flavorful and left us anxious to return to try more! And you will be doing yourself and injustice if you don't try some of their dessert! The table shared the Homemade Coconut Cream Pie and the homemade Chocolate...read more
Small portions. Not the same since they changed ownership
Lived Norman my whole life and this is by far my favorite Italian dinner restaurant. Been taking dates here for years. Nice quiet atmosphere, good sangria, candle light.. What more can you ask for. The food is way better than Victoria's. do yourself a favor and check it out. Baked ziti, chicken parm, it's all super good. You're welcome
